Come along to an Art Tour at Fremantle Prison on Tuesday 28 February at 5pm. Please note that some of the content is quite graphic in nature and includes prisoner graffiti. On the other hand, much of the art is spectacular and executed by prisoners who were very talented artists. The Art Tour provides a fascinating insight into the psychology and emotional wellbeing or otherwise of the prisoners who spent time inside. The tour will go for one hour and will not involve stairs. Matthew, who is a great guide will take us to visit the art murals in the exercise yards, plus talk about the conservation project involving the restoration of the solitary confinement block, plus show you through the Main Cell Block. Please meet at the entrance to the prison.

what is the name of the football oval adjoining the Jail grounds or it may be actually within the jail Grounds any chance of a photo degreen@bigpond.net.au 07 33950784
I think you are probably referring to Fremantle Oval, previously called Barrack Green when it was associated with the prison. You can view photographs at

Hope this helps.
